Gabo Guzzo
Gabo Guzzo is an Italian interdisciplinary artist based in London. Working across sculpture, text, photography, drawing, design and moving image, his practice explores the relationship between nature and culture and the ways humans shape the world around them.
Combining artistic research with insights from science, philosophy and anthropology, Guzzo investigates themes of biodiversity loss, extinction, labour and human agency. His work often develops through collaborations with scientists, researchers and craftspeople.
Central to his practice is an exploration of what becomes possible when scientific, artistic and manual forms of knowledge are brought into dialogue, and how their encounter can reveal understandings of humanity’s place within the living world beyond the reach of any one discipline alone.
Guzzo holds an MA in Fine Art from Central Saint Martins, London, and an MSc in Economics from Bocconi University, Milan.
